Beta Gamma Sigma Beta Gamma Sigma is the national honorary fraternity for business majors with superior grades. Membership places one among an elite minority of business majors and will provide continued recognition throughout future business careers. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a student of business anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or master’s program at a school accredited by AACSB International. Of the 1,400 institutions with degree programs in business, less than 380 are accredited by AACSB and have chapters of Beta Gamma Sigma. To be eligible for membership, the academic ranking of those being considered must place them in the upper 7 percent of the junior class, upper 10 percent of the senior class, or upper 20 percent of the graduating master’s class. At Georgia Southern, only 15 of the 90 students receiving their graduate degrees during the 2005-06 academic year are being invited to join our chapter. Worldwide almost 300,000 students receive bachelors or master’s degrees in business each year, less than 20,000 students are elected to membership in Beta Gamma Sigma.
