Scott Curley

Advisor, A-BUN

Scott earned his B.A. in Psychology from Georgia Southern University in 2009, his M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration in 2013, and second bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages: Spanish in 2015.  He began working full time at Georgia Southern in 2010, and has been working in the Student Services Center since June, 2013.  In addition to working as an academic advisor, he teaches a section of FYE 1220 each fall semester.  Scott and his wife, Christy, have 2 sons, the oldest born in 2013 and youngest in 2016.  Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his family, singing and playing guitar at his church, drinking coffee, and running.

Neily Burke

Advisor, BUR-EL

Neily earned her B.A. in Spanish from New Jersey City University (formerly Jersey City State College), and plans on pursing her Master’s at Georgia Southern in 2017.  Prior to working in the College of Business Student Services Center, she worked as an academic advisor at The Citadel for two years and then as an academic coordinator with Student Athlete Services, specializing in Track & Field and Men’s Tennis.  Neily started in the College of Business Administration Student Services Center in July 2016, and is married to Rob, the Director of Basketball Operations for Georgia Southern.  They have 2 daughters, Mina (19), who is attending Cape Fear Community College and Marissa (9), who attends Bulloch Academy.  Outside of work, Neily is chauffeur extraordinaire for her daughter, Marissa, and enjoys binge watching TV, reading, making specialty coffee, cooking Puerto Rican cuisine, & adding new makeup to her already vast collection.

Shecora Lovett

Advisor, EM-HEN

Shecora received her BBA in Accounting and her MBA from Georgia Southern in 2004 and 2010, respectively. She worked as a financial aid advisor at Georgia Southern for eight years before joining the College of Business Advisement Center. She is married with two children. Shecora’s hobbies are cooking and crocheting.

Mikaela Shupp

Advisor, HER-LA

Mikaela earned her BBA in Business Management and a BA in Modern Languages:Spanish from Georgia Southern University in 2016. She also completed the SAP Terp10 Academy and is now a SAP Certified Associate. Mikaela started as an academic advisor for the College of Business in October of 2016. If she does not have her nose in a book, she will either be watching a Green Bay Packer’s game or playing with her oversized pomeranian, Zulu.

Kelly Vance

Advisor, LE-NA

Kelly is from Statesboro, Georgia. He received his undergraduate from Appalachian State University in Political Science, and he looks forward to completing my MPA very soon. He has been a College of Business advisor at Georgia Southern University since 2012. Many have accused his office of being under-decorated, but, thanks to co-workers, his office décor is improving.

Moneka Jones

Moneka  Jones is an alumni of Georgia Southern University, earning her BBA in Accounting in 2004 followed by her MAcc in 2005. Moneka has worked at Georgia Southern for more than ten years in various departments on campus. She is married with one son, three step sons, and one grand-daughter. Moneka is very active in her church and enjoys shopping and surfing the web in her spare time.

Trevor Bruffy

Advisor, ROG-S 

Trevor earned his B.A. in Sports Management from Lees-McRae College in North Carolina, his M.Ed. in Higher Education Adult Development from Appalachian State University in 2016. He began working in the College of Business Administration as an academic advisor in October 2016. Trevor and his wife live in Savannah with their one dog, Atlantis. Outside of work, Trevor enjoys spending time at the beach, watching sports, and traveling.

Amanda Maynard

Mandy received a BS in psychology in 2010 from Georgia Southern as well as an MEd in counselor education with an emphasis in clinical mental health counseling in 2016. Before Georgia Southern, she worked in a counseling clinic in downtown Statesboro for one year. In her spare time, she likes to distress furniture, watch Game of Thrones, and eat chocolate ice cream.

Elizabeth Noles

College of Business Success Coach

Liz earned her BA in political science in 2008, her MBA in 2011, her BS in justice studies in 2015, and her MASS in criminology in 2017 (expected)—all from Georgia Southern University. She worked as a financial aid counselor for Georgia Southern before joining the College of Business Student Services Center in September 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, and dabbling in a plethora of hobbies. She also loves all things Tolkien, Doctor Who, and Sci-Fi.

Lisa Sapp

Student Services Center Coordinator

Lisa Sapp began working in the College of Business Student Services Center in 2011. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and received her M.Ed. in Counselor Education with an emphasis in Student Services in Higher Education from Georgia Southern University. Her husband, Steve, is an alumni of the College of Business, and both her daughter and son are Georgia Southern graduates.  Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading a good novel, trying out new recipes and foods, and relaxing at home in Statesboro.
