What is the role of the parent in the career development process?
- Encourage exploration of many different careers and vocations
by using your established network of friends, family and co-workers.
- Assist the student to create a 4 year career development plan.
- Provide feedback and honest discussion of the student's interests,
skills, abilities and motivations.
- Recognize that the student's experiences here at Georgia Southern
will help shape and change thought processes and goals.
- Motivate the student to consider and explore graduate school
options and to discuss those plans with their academic advisor,
