What is the role of the parent in the career development process?

  • Encourage exploration of many different careers and vocations by using your established network of friends, family and co-workers.
  • Assist the student to create a 4 year career development plan.
  • Provide feedback and honest discussion of the student's interests, skills, abilities and motivations.
  • Recognize that the student's experiences here at Georgia Southern will help shape and change thought processes and goals.
