The application process for the MBA is relatively straightforward; however, it requires planning, time and effort.  It is important to note that most of the information is collected by the College of Graduate Studies (COGS).  When the application packet is complete, COGS sends it to the MBA Office for evaluation and admission recommendation.  You can monitor your application status online.  The MBA program makes admission decisions on a rolling basis so applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

GMAT – The GMAT is a significant determinant of admission decisions and how much you get out of your graduate business education.  Although the test is administered throughout the year, centers tend to fill up around deadline dates.  Give yourself plenty of time to prepare for the test and set a date.  If you do have to retake the test, you will need to wait at least 30 days from your last test date.  Take note of identification requirements needed on your test day.

The Georgia Southern University MBA program has partnered with Bell Curves, a GMAT test prep company, to offer our students a discounted, online prep course.  Several course dates have been scheduled throughout the year.  To learn more about the Bell Curves online course and discount, please click here.

Transcripts – COGS requires one official copy of your transcripts from every college or university you have attended.  The transcripts must come directly from the school or its authorized agent.  Depending on the school, this can take up to 10 days. Georgia Southern transcripts do not need to be requested.

Online application – You can start the online application immediately here.  After registering, the application can be completed over multiple sessions.

Application status – Applicants can track the status of their application and materials received/required online.
