COBA Graduate Studies Office

Candidates must provide the following admission information:

Admission is based on the formula listed below. Candidates should be proactive and contribute in class and team-based learning environment.

Regular Admission

1. Complete the Online Application Form.
2. If necessary, International Student Application Form.
3. $50.00 application fee made payable to Georgia Southern University.
4. One official transcript from all colleges and universities attended.
5. Completed requirements for the Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a college accredited by the proper regional associations.
6. Taken courses and earned a grade of “C” or better in Intermediate Microeconomic Theory, Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory, Statistics, and Calculus.
7. A minimum 3.0 (4.0 scale) cumulative grade point average or higher on undergraduate work.
8. A combined score of 1000 on the Graduate Records Exam (GRE), or a combined score of 500 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
9. A personal statement that includes a description of career goals, reasons for applying for graduate study at Georgia Southern University, and relevant experience and achievements.

Provisional Admission

For applicants who meet one but not both the GPA requirement and GRE /GMAT requirement, provisional admission may be granted by the departmental graduate faculty based on their consideration of the materials submitted by the applicant and if necessary, an interview could be required.
