Since 2001, Georgia Southern has offered its MBA online. Asynchronous, team-based, fully accredited and proven, the program boasts national recognition for high student satisfaction and graduation rates. Students complete their fixed 30-credit hour curriculum in a more time and location independent format in about 21 months.
The WebMAcc is a 30-semester hour program with 100% of the course work being delivered online. The program follows a cohort model with intakes in the Fall and Spring semesters. To help ensure our students’ success and to help them stay on track in the program, we use a team-based approach to online learning.
The online Master of Science in Applied Economics (MSAE) program objective is to provide graduates with analytical capabilities in economic development, financial economics, and regulatory issues. The skills and competencies addressed by this program include market analysis, quantitative analysis, regulatory industry analysis, financial economics and economic development. These capabilities represent a unique combination of skills that are needed within society.
The Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) Certificate program at Georgia Southern University focuses on the knowledge and skills students need for careers in organizations that rely on ERP systems to support key business processes. Students in the program will receive a solid, applied enterprise systems educational experience and will exit the program with a realistic overview of ERP systems and hands-on experience using SAP.
Designed specifically for working professionals, students in the Savannah program take classes as a cohort, typically two evenings per week, and can complete the program in less than 15 months. Participants have full access to Georgia Southern computing, library, and career services.
Statesboro students enjoy a full college campus experience within a part-time format suited to fully-employed locals and well-qualified pre-professionals. Taking advantage of other colleges on campus, the Statesboro program offers students additional elective, scheduling, and financial assistance options.
The Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree allows students to continue their specialized studies of the discipline. Many students who earn their MAcc degree seek careers as Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in accounting focuses on building the student’s knowledge of general business, auditing, law, tax, and other accounting-related functions.
With a strong background in liberal arts, graduates of this program are well-prepared for further study or careers in the social sciences – economics, law, political science, or sociology – as well as in business, journalism, and public administration.
This major is designed to give students a broad knowledge of the field of economics to provide a foundation for professional careers in business and industry or for graduate training in economics.
The BBA in finance offers courses in various fields within the finance discipline, including real estate, insurance, banking and regional financial planning. In addition, the program offers coursework in the traditional areas of investment, financial institutions, and international finance. The broad array of courses allows each student to design a program of study that suits his or her career plans.
The information systems (IS) degree is first and foremost a business degree. IS students gain a solid foundation in business and become computer-savvy through hands-on experience with the latest technologies.
Logistics and Intermodal Transportation serves the needs of dynamic industry sectors, ensuring the availability of the right product, in the right quantity and the right condition, at the right place, at the right time, for the right customer, at the right cost. Intermodal transportation is combining the cost and/or service advantages of more than one mode of transportation in an efficient, seamless product movement. The operations management emphasis in the management major prepares students for a variety of positions in both manufacturing and service supply chains. Courses are designed to prepare students not only for their first jobs upon graduation but also for their longer lived careers. The program of study is geared to develop critical thinking skills and apply these skills to operations strategy, demand and supply planning, service operations, six sigma and continuous improvement, strategic sourcing and negotiations, inventory management, global supply networks, and supply chain analytics.
The BBA in management offers core courses of study that focus on leadership, strategic planning, entrepreneurship, organizing, human resource management, hospitality management, supply chain management, teamwork and team management, problem-solving, information technology, and quality control, thereby cultivating a foundation tailored for students’ special interests and talents.
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in marketing involves a comprehensive study of the concepts, techniques, and tools for developing marketing strategies and programs. Students are prepared to help organizations decide which consumer groups to serve and which product and services to produce, and to set appropriate levels of promotional effort, pricing, and other considerations in generating sales.
