2009 Events:
February 3	The Forensic Accounting Advisory Board to meet at Georgia Southern
February 3	Distinguished Forensic Lecturer David Sawyer to speak on campus
April 16, 17, 20	White Collar Crime and Interview / Interrogation students participate in Project Adrian (IRS) and a mock grand jury.
May 28-30	The accounting firm of PKM and Georgia Southern put on the 3rd Annual Fraud and Forensic Accounting Education Conference in Atlanta (Buckhead).

 

2008 Events:
November 18	Expert Witnessing students participate in civil mock trial which is presided over by Judge Gary Mickel at Bullock County Courthouse.
November 17-18	Tax Research students attend U.S. Tax Court in Tampa, FL.
September 10	The Forensic Accounting Advisory Board meets in Atlanta
August 8	Masters of Accountancy students enter into the Forensic Accounting Concentration. Sixteen (16) students have declared Fraud Examination as their undergraduate minor.
May 13-15	The 2nd Annual Fraud and Forensic Accounting Education Conference in Charleston, SC is attended by over 130 participants.
April 16, 18, 21	The IRS brings Project Adrian back to campus and a mock criminal grand jury is held in Statesboro.
March 6	A one day (8 hour CPE) Construction Fraud Conference is held in Atlanta, and attended by over 40 participants
January 30	Forensic Accounting Advisory Board meets at Georgia Southern.
January 29	Donna Harper (IRS) speaks on campus as the 2008 Distinguished Forensic Lecturer.

 

2007 Events:
November 16	Project Adrian (IRS) comes to campus.
November 13	A mock civil trial is held at Bulloch County Courthouse.
August	The first twelve (12) Masters of Accountancy students enter into the Forensic Accounting Concentration. Ten (10) students have declared Fraud Examination as their undergraduate minor.
May 10-12	The 1st Annual Fraud and Forensic Accounting Education Conference in Savannah, GA is attended by over 210 participants.
January	The first director is hired for the Center for Forensic Studies in Accounting and Business
