| Welcome to the Eagle Executive Society
The College of Business Administration recently re-invigorated the Business Executive Society, first created in 1988. In its new format it is named the Eagle Executive Society , and provides the basis for encouraging investment and interest by alumni and friends of the College.
"We are preparing the next generation's business leaders by providing
today's students with the best faculty, technology, facilities, and learning
opportunities available," said Ronald Shiffler, dean of COBA, "but we've
reached a point where increased alumni support is essential to keep us
moving toward our goal of national recognition."

Why does my participation
matter?
Membership in the Eagle Executive Society is vital because it provides
the funds that close the gap between tuition and the total cost to educate
students. Tuition and fees cover only half the cost of a student's education.
Annual memberships add to an important income stream that underwrites
school activities and ensures COBA's fiscal health and continued excellence.
Every member makes a difference in his or her own right and helps to inspire
others to join. You membership dues have an exponential impact, reaching
far beyond the College.
When was the society founded?
The original business society existed at Georgia Southern from 1988 to
1990 under the leadership of Dean Carl Gooding. This program was called
the "Business Executive Society" and had 357 charter members.
