John King is an Associate Professor of Economics at Georgia Southern University.   Professor King joined the faculty of Georgia Southern in 2002. He earned his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in 2001, his M.A. from Vanderbilt University in 2000, and his B.A. from Western Kentucky University in 1996.

Before coming to Georgia Southern he taught in the Economics departments of Duke University, Elon University, and Vanderbilt University.  His current research interests include how and why consumers use credit cards, and informational issues associated with the sale of intellectual property.
