Constantin Ogloblin
Associate Professor phone: (912) 478-7561 e-mail: coglobli@georgiasouthern.edu Constantin Ogloblin joined Georgia Southern in the Fall of 2000. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration/International Economics from Kent State University in 1999 and his K.E.N. (Russian Ph.D.) in political economy from Rostov State University (Russia) in 1986. Before coming to GSU, he taught at John Carroll University, Kent State University, and Volgograd State University (Russia). In 1992-93, as chairman of the State Property Fund of Volgograd Province he was responsible for the implementation of the Russian Privatization Program. Dr. Ogloblin enjoys teaching economics and is interested in developing high-quality course materials using modern technology. He recently developed extended problem sets for the new edition of Michael Parkin’s Economics, one of the leading principles of economics texts. Dr. Ogloblin's research interests lie in applying advanced econometric methods to study international labor markets and socio-economic issues of Russia’s transition to a market economy. His latest research project examines the effects of international outsourcing of human capital. |
