Amanda King is an Associate Professor of Economics at Georgia Southern University.   Professor King joined the faculty of Georgia Southern in 2002.  She earned her Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in 2000, her M.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1999, and her B.A. from Agnes Scott College in 1995.

Before joining the faculty at Georgia Southern, Amanda was an Assistant Professor at Elon University (2000-2002) and taught at Vanderbilt University.  Her current research looks at how consumers use credit cards and why consumers choose to use debit cards instead of credit cards.
