Internship Program An effective internship program plays a vital part of the goals of the Department of Management, Marketing and Logistics and the College of Business Administration by providing businesses with quality graduates and improving placement opportunities for students. The internship is a supervised work-study program in a limited number of selected business firms throughout the southeast and the nation. The program provides students with the opportunity to develop business skills in an actual work setting outside the classroom. Practical application of business practices and theories are emphasized. To qualify for an internship, students must have been admitted to a B.B.A program and have earned a minimum of a 2.5 adjusted GPA. In addition, students should have earned at least 80 credit hours and completed at least two courses in their majors. Internships
are generally for one semester or a summer, full-time or part-time. The
internship may be for pay or nonpay depending on the situation and agreement
with the company. Students may earn elective credits for internship work
with prior approval by the department chair and the internship coordinator.
