Dr.
Joong-Kun (Jay) Cho
Assistant Professor of Logistics
Dr. Jay Cho is an assistant professor of logistics at Georgia
Southern University. Dr. Cho received his Ph.D. and MBA from
the University of Arkansas, MS from the Naval Postgraduate
School in Monterey, CA, and BA from the Korea Military Academy
in Seoul, Korea. Previously, Dr. Cho served in the Korean
and U.S. Army as a professional officer over 20 years before
join the academia. He served in the Army Command and General
Staff College in Ft. Leavenworth, KS and Air Defense School
in Ft. Bliss, TX. He also traveled over 20 countries for official
military duty assignments.
He is active in presenting scholarly papers at academic
and professional conferences in the U.S.A., Europe and Asia.
He has published in journals such as International Journal
of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, Journal
of Transportation Management, Journal of Contemporary Business
Issues, and Services Marketing Quarterly.
His primary research interests are in the area of global
supply chain management, third party logistics and outsourcing,
seaport security and safety, performance measurement scale
development, and e-based logistics.
