Dr.
Joseph Ruhland
Assistant Professor of Finance
Joe Ruhland is an assistant professor of finance at Georgia Southern
University. Dr. Ruhland received his BBA from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison and his Ph.D. in Risk Management and Insurance
from the University of Georgia. His research areas of interest include
asymmetric information, political risk and corporate governance.
Prior to returning to academics, Joe lived in Chicago, IL, working
as an employee benefits consultant for Hewitt Associates, Aon Consulting
and in private practice. Dr. Ruhland’s research has been presented
at the American Risk and Insurance Association and Southern Risk
and Insurance Association conferences.
