School of Accountancy

Academic Programs

The School of Accountancy offers students three career track options. The four year program prepares students for a wide range of professional careers in industry, finance, government, and non-profit organizations. The five year track prepares students for careers in public accounting as certified public accountants. In order to meet the qualifications for becoming a CPA, candidates must have 150 semester hours of college education. This 30 hour program allows students to meet these qualifications while obtaining a masters degree in accounting. The MBA with an emphasis in accounting allows students to obtain a MBA degree while still getting needed hours to become a CPA. Along with the regular MBA requirements, a student will take five accounting classes.
