Dr.
Michael Wiggins
Assistant
Professor of Legal Studies
Michael Wiggins joined the faculty of the College of Business
Administration in 2008. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University
of Arizona, a Master of Business Administration from the University
of Massachusetts-Amherst, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from
Wichita State University. Michael has been a licensed attorney
since 1994. He served as in house counsel for Excel Manufacturing
and has litigated for a number of companies. Michael has seven
years experience in sales and marketing, primarily for Konica
Business Technologies. After earning Commercial Sales Representative
of the Year and Chairman’s Club honors and winning a
nationwide corporate marketing contest, he was promoted into
sales management. In 2003, Michael began his career in academia,
teaching as an adjunct for a number of institutions, including
Labette Community College, Southwestern College, Friends University
and Fort Hays State University, all in Kansas. He has taught
in a wide range of disciplines, including business law, finance,
economics, government, information systems, negotiation theory,
and telecommunications. Michael is a member of the Academy of Legal
Studies in Business, a Staff Editor for the Journal of Legal Studies
in Business, and an articles reviewer for the Journal of Legal Studies
Education and the American Business Law Journal.
