About the School

The School of Accountancy at Georgia Southern University is committed to providing quality educational programs. The School, which is fully accredited by AACSB International, enrolls over one hundred seventy-five students in its undergraduate and graduate degree programs and employs 22 full-time accounting and law faculty. A balance of activities is encouraged and rewarded in teaching, scholarly research, and service.

The mission statement of the School of Accountancy is to provide excellence in accounting education through teaching, research, and service. We recognize our responsibility to provide high-quality undergraduate and graduate accounting education, to conduct applied and instructional research benefitting accounting and business, and to render service to each of our constituencies.
