Hoke Brunson received his B.B.A in Accounting from Georgia Southern in 1967. In 1968, he was designated as a Naval Aviator. He flew 282 combat missions off the U.S.S. Hancock in Vietnam, and over 400 carrier landing (100+ of those at night). He served as an Advanced Jet Flight Instructor for the U.S. Navy. In total, Hoke served the U.S. military for 7 years of active duty and 19 more in the reserves. In addition to his military duty, Hoke logged approximately 30,000 flight hours as a commercial pilot for Southwest Airlines. He also prepared personal, family partnership and trust tax returns for 40 years and managed stock portfolios for 45 years. In retirement, Hoke does yard work, house cleaning and child care. He is also a wine collector.
