To enrich the learning process, all classrooms use technology such as the internet, projectors, stereo sound, and clickers for students to respond to in-class questions. Professors use a wide range of techniques to engage students. Traditional lectures supplemented with PowerPoint, computer simulations, case methods, interactive television, on-line learning, field projects, consulting projects, internships, and independent directed research are some approaches used by our faculty.

Numerous national and international organizations have recognized our achievements. The Logistics and Intermodal Transportation program is ranked 16th in the nation by Supply Chain Management. GetEducated.com rates our WebMBA program as a best buy and Princeton Review identifies our MBA program as one of the 237 Best B-Schools in the USA. In 2006, the Carnegie Classification of Georgia Southern University was changed to Doctoral/Research Institution due to the number of doctoral degrees awarded.
