| How to Get Involved As an alumni or friend of the Center for Excellence in Sales and Sales Management at Georgia Southern University there are many opportunities for you to get involved with our students and our activities. Guest Lecturer – Sales and sales management professionals bring wonderful “real-life” examples to the classroom that can greatly enhance the students’ learning experience. Topics can be narrowly defined to sales and business related topics (such as CRM, prospecting, or time-management), or more general (such as a day in the life of a sales professional, or what it takes to obtain that first sales position). Student Shadowing – The more our students know about the selling profession, the greater their potential for success. We encourage our students to spend time in the field observing sales professionals in action. Panel Discussiant – Our students have a lot of questions about the sales profession. By serving in a panel discussion format you have the opportunity to give the students insights into the sales career by answering their questions and interacting with other sales professionals. Internships – Sales and sales support internships can be an outstanding way for students gain valuable sales experience and a great opportunity for companies to observe potential employees Board of Advisors – We are in the process of recruiting a Board of Advisors for the Center. The Board of Advisors will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the development and direction of the Center. For example, we will be asking our Advisors to evaluate curriculum to make sure we are both relevant and up-to-date Supporter – Georgia Southern University and the College of Business Administration have made a significant investment into sales education by establishing the Center for Excellence in Sales and Sales Management. However, we will need outside funding to provide a world-class education for our students.
Keep abreast of other alumni by keeping us updated about you.
