- A
new center has been approved for COBA – The Center for Excellence
in Sales and Sales Management. The
center will serve as a link between marketing students who wish to emphasize
professional selling in their major and businesses that seek a pool
of qualified and sales-savvy applicants.

- Elizabeth
Childs and Lorriane Rath win the COBA Sales Competition sponsored by
C. H. Robinson Worldwide.
- The
Georgia Southern team finishes in the top ten (out of over 40 teams
from across the U.S. and Mexico), its highest finish yet in the National
Collegiate Sales Competition held at Kennesaw State University.
- Mrs.
Dena Hale, a Ph.D. student nearing graduation from Southern Illinois
University Carbondale, accepts an offer to join the sales faculty beginning
this fall.
- The
Center for Excellence in Sales and Sales Management is formally approved
by Georgia Southern University administration.
