LIT Curriculum

Logistics and transportation provides a wide range of exciting career opportunities.  Georgia Southern's major in LIT prepares students for employment in this challenging and vital field.  The major is uniquely organized around the intermodal concept which combines the cost and service advantages of more than one mode of transportation in an efficient, seamless product movement.

Here are four of the many reasons why students should consider the LIT major at GSU:

  1. A Unique Curriculum - GSU is the only university in Georgia offering a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in logistics and transportation.
  2. Extensive Financial Support - Our industry sponsored scholarship program awards approximately $10,000 annually to deserving LIT majors for their tuition and living expenses.
  3. An Opportunity To Gain Experience - The LIT internship program allows students to earn credit toward their degree while gaining valuable experience with major shippers and carriers.
  4. Excellent Career Opportunities - Numerous national, regional, and local firms recruit LIT graduates for entry-level management positions.

Current Curriculum

The Georgia Southern Catalogue is on-line and covers the entire curriculum.

The LIT program revising the curriculum with the conversion to semesters beginning in the fall of 1998.  The LIT faculty used that opportunity to modify the curriculum to better meet the needs of the students, employers and community!!
