BIG Maker Day

Big Maker Day logoBIG Maker Day is a celebration of makers – people who embrace the do-it-yourself spirit. Makers from our region will showcase their latest inventions as well as host hands-on demonstrations.

The inaugural BIG Maker Day was held on November 22, 2014. Ty Donaldson and Tim Cone led a catapult building workshop. Once the catapults were completed, teams competed in a cornhole catapult match. Brodie international had the winning team.

Inaugural BIG Maker Day

This year, BIG has partnered with the Center for Sustainability and the Institute for Interdisciplinary STEM Education to host a Pallet Challenge as part of GreenFest. In the spirit of sustainability and innovation individuals or teams will up-cycle used pallets into something new and creative.

Update: contestants displayed their creations at GreenFest 2015 on Saturday, October 3 at 10 a.m. on the Bulloch County Courthouse lawn. Congratulations to the winners of our first ever Pallet Challenge!
